Well it actually began 10 days ago, but I’ve been so busy preparing and writing that I haven’t had a chance to write about it.
So what is NanoWriMo?
It’s a writing competition where you are given the 30 days of November to write 50,000 words. A difficult, yet doable task. The best part is the fact that you are helping a charity that raises money for youth and adult writing programs all over the world, and of course you end up with a completed (or very nearly completed) manuscript to edit and publish in the following year.
What do I get out of it?
Well prestige and the satisfaction that I was able to complete the tast. Not to mention a completed (or very nearly completed) manuscript to edit and publish in the following year.
I’m actually working on two books this year. My Gateway to Financial Freedom book and the fiction one I have been planning to write and still have no title for. I’ll tell you what though, it’s coming along better than I’d hoped. I’m really enjoying writing it and I’m sure you’ll really enjoy reading it.
Come by My NanoWriMo to keep track of my word count progress and cheer me on!
